The Story of Achievement: Wayne & Jack Hemingway
In our second ‘Story of Success’ collection we meet papa and son, Wayne and Jack Hemingway associated with multi-disciplinary design agency, Hemingway Design and style. The company, founded by Wayne and his partner Gerardine in 1981, has worked with all the likes of Hush Puppies, The Tate, Burger king and Sky to mention but a few and has established the duo as two of Britain’s most heralded designers (and an MBE!) Oldest child, Jack provides followed in his parent’s powerful footsteps and is today a multi-disciplinary senior artist specialising in item fashion, graphic, exhibit and design at Hemingway Design.
Q. You (used to) stay together, you now interact; you could be sick of one another! But evidently there’s any bond between each of you that enables you to operate successfully in both dynamics. What attributes do you think you share
WAYNE: We’ve the ability to work hard and harvest good ideas. On the whole, a love regarding family, fairness, Blackburn Rovers, soul music, poached eggs together with gravy, brogues ambassador hats and a lean fitting suit, are most likely just a few attributes all of us share!
JACK: Ha, yep, and it’s probably our shared impatience, passion for ambassador hats and also brogues and temporary depression instigated by a Blackburn Rovers reduction that are our most severe shared attributes.

WAYNE: Among my proudest moments as a designer was supplying affordable housing within the Staiths South Bank location on the banks from the River Tyne.
